We are excited to announce the launch of our new Safe Sport Reporting Service. This initiative is part of our ongoing commitment to providing a safe and supportive environment for all our participants.

Sport Newfoundland and Labrador (Sport NL) is working with ITP Sport as the Independent Third Party (ITP) to oversee all cases involving potential violations of the Universal Code of Conduct to Prevent and Address Maltreatment in Sport (UCCMS). This critical step reinforces our commitment to fostering a safe, respectful, and inclusive sport environment.

About ITP Sport:

ITP Sport is a recognized leader in independent complaint management and Safe Sport advocacy. With a team of experts specializing in sport integrity, complaint management, and safeguarding policies, ITP Sport ensures impartial and effective handling of all reported cases. Their experience across multiple jurisdictions and sport organizations equips them to provide all participants with the necessary expertise and guidance to navigate Safe Sport disputes.

Scope of Services

Sport NL has engaged ITP Sport to address all complaints that could constitute Maltreatment, as defined in the UCCMS. In addition, certain disciplinary decisions will be able to be appealed to the Independent Third Party. For complaints involving Code of Conduct violations, the Provincial Sport Organizations will remain responsible for administering the discipline processes and resolution opportunities.

What This Means for You:

·         Access to a Neutral Reporting Platform for Maltreatment related complaints: You can now report any concerns related to conduct or safety directly through the new service, available via https://app.integritycounts.ca/org/itpsport.

·         Confidentiality and Support: All reports will be handled with strict confidentiality, and you will have access to support throughout the process.

As a reminder, all Code of Conduct infractions or appeals may be filed to president@karatenl.com and will be heard by Karate NL.
